Buttermilk Waffles

Ingredients
  

  • cups gluten-free all-purpose flour (216g) I used King Arthur Gluten Free Measure For Measure Flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 egg
  • ¼ cup salted butter, melted (4 tablespoons)
  • 1⅔ cups buttermilk (413ml)

Instructions
 

  • First, melt the butter and set it aside to cool.
  • In a medium sized bowl, lightly beat the egg and stir in the buttermilk followed by the melted butter. Mix well.
  • Next, pour in the flour and baking soda. Mix until the batter is nice and smooth.
  • Heat a waffle iron. (on medium-high temperature if it has a manual setting) Once it is ready, scoop out ¼ of the batter and place it on the center of the iron. Close it and cook for about 3 minutes or until it signals it is ready. Remove and add your favorite toppings.
