Start by mashing the bananas with a fork in a bowl. Then add in the vanilla extract, peanut butter, and cacao powder. Mix very well with the fork until all ingredients are well incorporated.
Pour the mixture into a freezer safe dish / container and cover with plastic wrap. Freeze for 1 ½ hours for a softer texture or for 2 or more hours for a firmer texture. If it has been freezing for more than a couple hours, simply leave it out to thaw before serving for about 15-20 minutes. (Freeze time will vary depending on the container size it is in)
Finally, scoop it out and enjoy as is or with your favorite toppings.
