Ingredients

  • cups hot black tea (336ml)
  • ¾ cup oat milk, gluten-free (172ml)
  • ¼ cup Silk Dairy Free Heavy Whipping Cream (or regular heavy cream if not dairy free) (57ml)
  • 3 tablespoons honey (can add an extra tablespoon for more sweetness)
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cardamom
  • ¾ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • teaspoon ground cloves
  • ¼ teaspoon ground ginger

Instructions

  • Boil water and steep 3 black tea bags in 1 1/2 cups of hot water for 8 minutes. (I boil the water to a temperature of 212 degrees Fahrenheit) Remove the tea bags.
  • In a medium sized saucepan, add the oat milk, heavy cream, honey, black tea, cardamom, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and ginger.
  • Heat the saucepan on the stove over medium high while using a metal whisk to mix all of the ingredients together. Bring the chai to a light boil while occasionally whisking, takes about 5 minutes.
  • Then give the chai a good whisk before serving it into mugs or tea cups. Enjoy!
